Beside Little Boracay

Me and my wife joined a bloggers food tour from an event DFAT (Davao Food Apreciation Tour)  last June 2013 and one of the places we went to is Little Boracay at Brgy., Sto. Nino, Colongan Road, Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental. When we arrived at the resort I took a walk along the beach and reached a small fishing village and I took photos of their slow paced daily life.

 I had the opportunity to explore Sohoton Cove, Bukas Grande, Surigao del Norte last April. It is a 6-8 hours travel from Davao City. I came with 3 other photographer friends courtesy of Arthur Yap of "RTours Mindanao Escapade".  The place is breathtaking with turquoise waters to greet you when entering the cove. A friend said, it was like Palawan less the air fare. From the Municipality of Socorro it will be the start of boat riding to another because it is simply the means of transportation of the place from island to island. Here are photos of the place.

Masao, Mati, Davao Oriental

I had a commission shoot at Masao, Mati Davao Oriental and so last Black Saturday, April 7, 2012, we went there. It was really fun to be able to mix business with pleasure. I didn't get to really relax and explore the place. We wanted to go to Dahican and check the surfing competition. But still we really enjoyed our time there and was able to capture scenes of the place.
